I would need to read more details of this but some of it just called my attention on spot. First, the sentence.. 20 years x 4 years for Murray (I guess there are different aspects here) but looking only to this article the only difference may seem that one is not a doctor.
For people reading only this article it would looks like Murray got less time and less charges just because he is a doctor. Also, some observations made by Shafer here is quite different from Murray's case. At Murray's case he says Murray administrated propofol after "death" and here with what seems similar findings he says it was before the death. They didn't say when it happens, but gave me the impression that was a long time ago. Something does not add up...
Yes things really dont add up. Willoughby is not a doctor but she is in fact a nurse and this is how she got the Propofol. As far as I can read and as we hear in the vid on the link at the end of this article, the motive was money because she was bankrupt. The woman seems a little off... she apparently thinks of herself as a celebrity because she signed autographs on her way to prison. I wonder if Shafer worked with this case before he was asked to work on Murrays case... this murder happened in 2008
Willoughby had parting words before getting transferred to prison
EKALB COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
A woman who pleaded guilty to killing her stepfather has a message for her neighbors.
WAFF 48 News had our cameras there Friday as Karri Willoughby left DeKalb County for Tutwiler Women's Prison.
Some are questioning if she thought of herself more as a star rather than a convicted murderer.
Apparently Willoughby knew this was a high profile case, as she signed autographs before she left.
Not sure the reason, but several jail staff received an autographed picture from Willoughby before she left.
That happened around 10 Friday morning before she headed to state prison to begin her 20 year sentence for murder.
Willoughby pleaded guilty Wednesday to the murder of her stepfather Billy Shaw, Jr. at his DeKalb County home.
Opening statements in her capital murder trial were set to begin Wednesday, but that's when she accepted the plea deal.
Prosecutors contend Willoughby used her position as a nurse to obtain drugs that were used to inject Shaw in 2008, which caused his death.
Prosecutors say Willoughby was facing bankruptcy for a second time and was seeking her portion of Shaw's nearly $400,000 estate.
On her way out, Willoughby had some parting words.
"Just want my community to take care of my husband and children," she said.
Willoughby was transferred to Tutwiler Prison for Women in Elmore County.
We spoke to a member of Shaw's family who says they plan to be at future parole hearings to fight any chance she has of getting out early.

CONRAD MURRAYD.A. Says He's aDanger to Society
The D.A. is alarmed that Dr. Conrad Murray is asking the trial judge to spring him from the pokey while he appeals his conviction in the death of Michael Jackson -- arguing Murray is a danger to society.
According to the new docs, obtained by TMZ, prosecutors say Murray has shown no remorse for his "reckless and criminal conduct that directly caused Michael Jackson's death." In other words, the D.A. says Murray just doesn't get it, and he could engage in the same conduct again if the judge lets him loose.
The D.A. also claims Murray is a flight risk, because he no longer has strong ties to California now that his medical license has been revoked.
As for Murray's grounds for appealing the conviction, the D.A. claims they're all bogus. The D.A. makes mention of the judge's decision to exclude Dr. Arnold Klein's testimony. Klein gave MJ scores of Demerol shots in the months preceding his death, but the D.A. says no traces of the drug were found in MJ's body at the time of his death.

Prosecutors want Michael Jackson doctor kept in jail
LOS ANGELES | Tue Feb 21, 2012 4:28pm EST
(Reuters) - Michael Jackson's doctor should not be freed pending an appeal of his involuntary manslaughter conviction because he is a flight risk and has shown no remorse for his part in the singer's death, prosecutors argued in court papers on Tuesday.
The attorneys said Dr. Conrad Murray, who is serving four years in jail, should be denied his bid for freedom at a Los Angeles court hearing set for Friday.
Prosecutors David Walgren and Deborah Brazil said there was "complete uncertainty" over whether Murray would remain in California or flee if allowed out on bail.
"Based on his failure to accept responsibility for the decisions he made, his complete lack of remorse and lack of insight into the danger of his criminally negligent conduct, he remains a danger to the community," they added.
Murray was held criminally negligent in the June 2009 death of the "Thriller" singer after admitting giving him the powerful anesthetic propofol and sedatives as a sleep aid. He did not testify at trial and denied culpability.
Murray asked in January to be released on bail or put under house arrest until his appeal is heard, saying that a hearing could take over a year.
The judge in the case will hear arguments from both sides on Friday.

Dr. Conrad Murray I Didn't Kill Michael Jackson ... Stress Did
Dr. Conrad Murray just filed legal docs in which he claims his manslaughter conviction should be overturned, on grounds that the judge should have allowed him to prove ... Michael Jackson was so stressed out over his financial woes ... he recklessly rolled the dice by self-administering a fatal dose of Propofol.
Murray is responding to the D.A.'s claims that he should stay in jail pending appeal because the grounds for challenging the conviction are bogus.
Murray makes a number of arguments, but the most interesting is the section titled, "Financial Condition of Michael Jackson." Murray's lawyers put it this way: "Mr. Jackson was in debt approximately $440 million and desperately needed to fulfill a contractual commitment at the O2 arena in London."
The lawyers go on: "He was on the verge of losing his entire estate to foreclosure. The pressure to fight through his insomnia, to rehearse and be the entertainer he was in his earlier years was overwhelming."
And then the lawyers bring it home: "His motivation and resulting desperation were relevant to show a likelihood or reason to act in a manner inconsistent with good judgment."
The lawyers believe it was an error for the judge to exclude evidence of MJ's financial desperation.

DR. CONRAD MURRAY'S GFPlease Release Him ...He's a Good Dad
Dr. Conrad Murray's girlfriend is begging the court to let him out of jail pending his appeal ... claiming he's a "good father" to their toddler.
Nicole Alvarez -- who played the femme fatale during the trial -- filed a declaration of support for Murray today ... in which she says if Murray is released he will live with her and their 2-year-old son in Santa Monica.
It's not the most powerful or emotional letter. Alvarez says, "Dr. Murray is the father of my child" -- and adds ... he "has been our primary source of support."
It's unclear how much support Murray can provide now -- considering his medical license has been revoked.
Murray's hearing for bail pending appeal of his manslaughter conviction is scheduled for tomorrow morning in downtown L.A.

February 24, 2012 3:11 PM Michael Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray won't be released on bail during appeal (CBS/AP) LOS ANGELES - A Los Angeles judge has refused to release Michael Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray on bail while he appeals his conviction for involuntary manslaughter in the pop star's death.
Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor rejected Murray's bid for bail Friday. Murray was not present. Pastor says Murray is a flight risk and would be a danger to society if he tries to practice medicine again. The judge says he was scared when he heard Murray say during a documentary interview that he thought it was permissible to give the anesthetic propofol in a home setting.
Murray was found guilty after a trial focusing on his use of the anesthetic propofol as a sleeping medication for the superstar, who died of an overdose of the drug in June 2009.
Murray's attorney's asked that the doctor, who is currently serving a four-year jail sentence, be released either on bail or on his own recognizance with an electronic monitoring ankle bracelet.
Because Murray's appeal is expected to take over a year to move through the courts, the attorney said it would be unfair to keep him jailed in the interim. His appeal has not yet been filed. Conceivably, he could serve his entire sentence before the appeal is decided.
Prosecutors contended that Murray practiced a very dangerous and experimental form of medicine on Jackson and his sentence was appropriate under the circumstances.

Associated Press Judge denies bid for bail by Jackson doctor
By LINDA DEUTSCH, AP Special Correspondent
Friday, February 24, 2012
(02-24) 11:55 PST LOS ANGELES, (AP) --
A judge who presided over the trial of Michael Jackson's doctor refused Friday to release him on bail, saying he would be a danger to any community where he might try to practice medicine.
Conrad Murray's lawyer asked for his release pending appeal of his involuntary manslaughter conviction, but Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor said he saw little chance that Murray would prevail in getting his case overturned.
Pastor made it clear that his view of Murray had not softened since he gave him a tongue-lashing and the maximum four-year sentence in the superstar's death. He suggested Murray hurt his own chances for freedom in a documentary interview broadcast after the trial saying use of the powerful anesthetic propofol in the home was appropriate.
Jackson died in 2009 of an overdose of the drug that Murray administered in his bedroom as a treatment for insomnia. Expert witnesses testified they never heard of anyone administering the drug outside a hospital.
"I didn't tell Dr. Murray to give an interview for a documentary," the judge said. "When he did, I listened to it and saw it and I was concerned about his attitude toward the use of propofol in the home. ... What he believes scares me."
Pastor also believes Murray, who was born and raised in the Caribbean, would pose a flight risk if he leaves jail. He said the doctor could go to a foreign country that might allow him to practice medicine, and anyone encountering him as a patient would be in danger.
"He was raised in Trinidad and has seven children by five women in different parts of the country, which does not reflect well on his stability," Deputy District Attorney David Walgren argued during the hearing.
Defense attorney J. Michael Flanagan petitioned for Murray to be released on bail, his own recognizance or under house arrest with an electronic ankle bracelet. He and appellate attorney Valerie Wass said Murray should be free during his appeal.
The judge, however, said the defense has not shown there is any substantial legal question likely to result in reversal of the verdict.
"No trial is perfect," the judge said, but nothing cited by Flanagan rises to the level of legal error.
Flanagan and Wass said the appeal issues would include Pastor's refusal to sequester the jury and his decision to allow broadcast of the trial. Pastor said he is confident those rulings and others were legally sound.
He also said he would not reconsider the bail request in the future.
"This is my last statement on this matter," he said.
Under current sentencing guidelines, Murray is likely to serve about half of his four-year term.
Outside court, Flanagan said Murray had lost at least 30 pounds since he went to jail Nov. 7. He said he is held in a single, five-by-eight foot cell with few chances to exercise or go outside.
Murray is considered a high-risk prisoner because of his notoriety.
Wass said she visited Murray and found him in remarkably good spirits.

I mean "Remarkably Good Spirits" does that not sound a bit over zealous after the "poor" guy lost 30 pounds in that single 5by8 foot cell???? What would contribute to him having this remarkable good spirit????
And yeah Nimu no need to go over the transcript any longer. Would like to get my hands on the appeals script though and may be the complete Joe Jackson Script after the removal of AEG. Will keep looking

Yes I do believe we should take a look. Many of these things going on such as the appeal and the motion for release and Joe's lawsuit seem doomed from birth, but they always give us some valuable information if we read between the lines.
And that might be the very reason they are there in the first place. Its a brilliant way of leaking info to the public.

Conrad Murray "Not Doing Well" in Jail, but Bail Request Still Denied
Fri., Feb. 24, 2012 10:52 AM PST by Baker Machado and Josh Grossberg
It still sucks to be Conrad Murray.
Moments after a Los Angeles judge turned down a request by Michael Jackson's incarcerated physician to release him on bail, his attorney told E! News that the cardiologist is "not doing well" and then immediately pulled the Whitney Houston card.
Murray will instead remain behind bars as his lawyers appeal last November's conviction for involuntary manslaughter in the pop legend's death.
Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor sided with prosecutors who argued that Murray was a flight risk, even if he submitted to electronic monitoring.
Outside the courtroom, Murray's lawyer, J. Michael Flanagan, told E! News that the cardiologist is "not doing well" two months into his four-year sentence and has lost 30 to 40 pounds.
Flanagan was flanked by Murray's appeals attorney, Valarie Wass, who says she took the case on despite Murray's well-documented financial woes because she believes it "provides substantial legal issues."
"I believe [Murray] was a scapegoat, she says. "[Prosecutors] got to find somebody to blame," added Flanagan. "They are still trying to find someone to blame for the death of Whitney Houston."
That last remark was a not so subtle reference to the ongoing probe into possible doctor shopping in the wake of Houston's sudden passing on Feb. 11 and whether the singer was illegally prescribed medications that may have killed her.
Murray was found guilty of administering a lethal dose of the surgical anethetic propofol to Jackson. Murray is expected to serve less than two years of his sentence due to chronic overcrowding in the Los Angeles County Jail.
Flanagan says he would prefer if Murray were transferred to the state prison where he "would be allowed more freedom" but admits that's unlikely.
We're pretty sure the Jackson family is fine with that.

First of all like Nimue said the media doesnt do a lot of research. As I pointed out most reporters get their "background" info from media outlets like TMZ or from The Associated Press or Reuters. And as I also pointed out, Associated Press and Reuters get their info from.... News Corp. Associated Press and Reuters are not some independent news collection bank, but get all their info from various reporters contributing to this "bank of info".
Being that about 90% of all reporters are working under News Corp and thereby Murdoch, it is Murdoch news, which other reporters build their stories on. People think "Oh it came from AP or Reuters so this is not tabloid; it is well researched journalism, but that is not so.
Its simply a "News-bank", where reporters buy their "research" and sell their stories. Very efficient. It helps limit the amount of any valubale reliable news info.
What seems to be going on at the moment is some sort of silent sabotage where conflicting news is reported. Some sources will say Murray is doing well and other sources that he is doing fine. The reporters then pick up on these various statements and as none of them have visited Murray, they rely on hearsay. And they certainly dont dig any deeper into the research.
I think this confusion to bewilder the media is all on purpose. They are being played with and by them reporting things that contradict eachother, they prove themselves how unreliable and manipulative they are.
It is also a reminder of all the conflicting info about Michael's health at rehearsals and elsewhere prior to June 09.

The whole thing about the scapegoat leads back to AEG nomatter how we turn it around. As Nimue showed in her lab analysis of Murray's appeal and as we see in recent articles, he is building it mainly from Michael being so stressed financially that he killed himself in his attempt to perform. And who pushed him to perform? AEG!
Murray made that very clear in his documentary and with interviews with Randy Philips around the time of the O2 conference, where he says "Michael will perform nomatter what; even if I have to carry him on stage, he will sing", it doesnt look too good. As I have said before: The appeal might be denied, but they are making sure the public get all of this info in tiny details. Reading Murray's appeal is like hearing him testify and of course AEG must be worried what he might say about them and how they placed him as a scapegoat. This is important stuff.

"They are still trying to find".
Mr Flanagan with all his detailed lab results would know that "they" are waiting for Whitneys lab results. It has only been two weeks. Yet Flanagan is ready to call it "accidental overdose" yet one more time. Cause of all these articles hinting resemblance to Michael's case, it wouldnt be good if the lab results show smt different than death by overdose of legal drugs and alcohol. Then ppl might wonder even more if there are starwhackers in Hollywood and in the music industry. Whitney's case is very important in this.

It is amazing how the defense or media uses the argument that Murray is not ok because he is in jail as a reason for his release.
Which inmate is feeling good and well at jail?
The media and defense treats it like loosing weight or not feeling well as a reason to forget everything else and reason enough to set the guy fee.
It sounds like something from other world. Even at the official documents we find mention to Murray's loneliness and lack of first class treatment.
Maybe, Murray could use his knowledge of the human body and take better care of himself
PS: today I will work on Thome document, lets see if we can cross information with Murray's says

Description: Sharon Sidney recorded this audio in front of LA Criminal Courts Bldg on Feb 24, 2012 after an Appeal Hearing about Dr. Conrad Murray, in which Judge Michael Pastor denied CM's appeal and early release.
J. Michael Flanagan is Dr. Conrad Murray's attorney.
"Dr. Conrad Murray was found guilty of the involuntary Manslaughter of the ALLEGED VICTIM, Michael Joseph Jackson on the ALLEGED DATE June 25, 2009"
The audio is pretty bad.. so headphones on..
At 6:17 Flanagan implies the opposite of the trial. In the trial he said Murray gave a single shot of propofol and here he says "propofol is safe, even in a deep sleep state if you stop propofol in 1 or 2 minutes the patient is awake"

CONRAD MURRAYFinally Buries the Hatchetwith Famous Jailmate
El DeBarge was right ... his famous incarcerated brother James DeBarge has finally settled his MJ beef with his fellow inmate Conrad Murray ... and all it took was an honest jail house conversation.
TMZ broke the story ... James -- Janet Jackson's ex-husband -- held a serious grudge with Murray because he blamed the doc for killing his friend Michael Jackson.
But now we've learned ... the two managed to have a confrontation behind bars at the Men's Central Jail facility in L.A. in the past few days ... and "squashed the beef."
TMZ spoke with James' wife ... who says the singer was very impressed with Murray and that James "has made peace with what happened to Michael."
We're told James no longer believes Murray is an "evil" man or a murderer ... instead he told his wife Conrad is a "kind man."
There is a poolvote for this and I really don't undestand why...

Walgren -- who is considered one of the best prosecutors in L.A. County -- has submitted an application to the Governor's office.
Sources connected with the process tell TMZ ... Walgren's application is being taken "very seriously."
If you place a bet that Governor Jerry Brown will send Walgren shopping for a black robe, your money is probably safe.

It is amazing the kind of information TMZ gets:
DR. CONRAD MURRAYI'm Rail ThinFrom Explosive Diarrhea
Dr. Conrad Murray has dumped 30 pounds because he's pooping out his guts, and he blames the water at L.A. County Jail.
We're told Murray has been extremely sick since becoming an inmate last November. He claims the water smells and tastes bad, and believes it has given him a horrible case of dysentery. Murray says the bad water, along with a bad diet, is ruining his health.
Murray says he can't eat jail food, and is forced to eat what he calls "cat food" which he buys at the commissary .
Murray buys canned tuna for $4.25 a pop, salmon flakes for $3.50 and canned mackerel for $2.50. Murray is telling friends that aside from cats, he's the only human being forced to eat canned mackerel.
We're told Murray is filing multiple appeals to get out of jail, primarily because his health is compromised.
L.A. County Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore tells TMZ, "All inmates receive the proper nutrition and medical care that is required by law, but the Sheriff's Dept. goes above and beyond what is required."
We don't know how the appellate judges feel about explosive diarrhea, but one thing we know for sure ... jail is a really sh**ty experience

He claims the water smells and tastes bad, and believes it has given him a horrible case of dysentery. Murray says the bad water, along with a bad diet, is ruining his health.
Is there a special reason attention is being called to the water? There is a lot of talk that we are all being poisoned by the drinking water in the overall plan to reduce world population (NWO). Secondly we now the "water"-talk that has been going on with Michael, for instance in TII and the story of the water leaking from his house.
Quote :
Murray buys canned tuna for $4.25 a pop, salmon flakes for $3.50 and canned mackerel for $2.50. Murray is telling friends that aside from cats, he's the only human being forced to eat canned mackerel.
This is pure nonsense. I know a lot of ppl who eat canned mackerel of their own free choice as an easy way to get your weekly supply of fish.
And finally...
Hmmm... if you've got "explosive diarrhea" you hardly need to pass time on the toilet reading the paper.
Wonder what he is reading?
Could it be "The Daily Beast"?

I thought the meals at jail was served by the administration to the inmates.
Is there a cafeteria at the jail or a grocery shop?
Is there an option to eat the meal from the jail or to buy lunch at the cafeteria?
Where does Murray get this money everyday to buy meals?
